About Me

My background in Psychology, helps me understand how our past experiences—everything from our childhood to how we learn and feel—shape who we are as adults. It shows how the "seeds" planted early in life, whether good, bad, or somewhere in between, continue to influence us as we grow. My experience in the field of Psychology began with adolescent males transitioning into or out of the juvenile prison system. When I transitioned out of that field, I became a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advocate and eventually the Safehouse Manager for a three-county area. It was through these two professions that I learned of the debilitating effects of untreated trauma. 

 

Coaching Beyond the Everyday Self

 

Then there's Psychosynthesis, which takes this understanding even deeper. Roberto Assagioli, the founder of Psychosynthesis, in an interview described it as follows, “Psychosynthesis is interested in the whole building. We try to build an elevator which will allow a person to access every level of his personality. After all, a building with only a basement is very limited. We want to open up the terrace where you can sunbathe or look at the stars. Our concern is the synthesis of all areas of the personality. That means Psychosynthesis is holistic, global and inclusive, it is not against Psychoanalysis or even behavior modification, but it insists that the needs for meaning, for higher values, for a spiritual life, are as real as biological, or social needs”. While Psychology focuses on our everyday personality and often warring subpersonalities, just as Psychosynthesis does, it also looks at our Higher Self or Soul. It sees our daily personality, along with the sub personalities—the "you" that you usually think of as yourself—as a reflection of this deeper, spiritual essence. This shift in focus, from just what's happening at the personality level to what's going on at a Soul level inevitably prompts the question, who am I?

 

Understanding Your Soul's Blueprint with Astrology

 

One of the unique tools I use to help clients connect with their highest potential is Astrology. This isn't about predicting the future, but rather understanding your birth chart, which is a map of the sky at the exact moment you were born. This map reveals specific archetypal energies, represented by the planets—think of them as deep and profound containers of meaning—that your Soul chose to explore and work with in this lifetime. Looking at a chart from the perspective of being Soul initiated immediately moves one's conscious focus from personality to Soul. Time meeting the timeless, the eternal, or as Joseph Campbell says, “the seat of the soul, where the inner world and outer worlds meet.” To touch even briefly upon this “in-between space” is a game changer, it is here the long journey of integrating inner and outer begins.
